Düsseldorf, Germany, Oct. 20, 2022 - PureCycle Technologies, Inc. and Milliken & Company partnered together to present at K Show 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany. In summary: Based on the results, the maximum suggested blending ratio of a UPR HPP15S that has a measured MFR ≈15 with virgin PP studied here is about 25% for extrusion applications. The values reported here represent a single data-point results based on average of 5 repeats of a UPR HPP15S. We will continue our experiments to evaluate the effect of various MFR of UPR HPP15S and different virgin PP (3 to 50) on blend properties and to develop maximum blending ratios for UPR HPP15S resin across the entire range of its expected MFR. The results represented here are a short-term properties; other long-term tests, e.g., fatigue, thermal aging and creep, should be conducted. Other CTQ’s specific to some applications and markets, e.g., ESC, sub-ambient properties, were not evaluated here. Customers must verify the blend ratio according to their specifications.
